Great Race. Surprises good and bad.
- Danica Patrick
6th place. Impressive. Even more impressive after seeing her knocked off the track, doing an amazing job at keeping the car off
the wall, then fighting her way back up from 24th place. An amazing performance.
- Ricky Carmichael
7th place. Wheel-to-wheel with Danica right across the line. Great effort.
- Jenny Jo Cobb
17th place. Yee haw! All the way up from 42nd, avoiding all the wrecks along the way.
- Alli Owens
23rd place.(1 lap down) Disappointing. Alli was in 3rd place for the longest time but finally picked the wrong
drafting partner, then was spun out with three laps to go. A great run until then.
- Nelson Piquet Jr.
27th Place.(13 laps down) Sometimes I hate being right. Nelson was overwhelmed with the traffic. He was actually the one that
knocked Danica off the track.
- Dakoda Armstrong
33rd place.(64 laps down) The cause of the 2nd caution flag. Well, his flat tire caused it. Before the race the announcers
picked him as one to watch.
- Steve Blackburn
37th place.(74 laps down) The victim of the first wreck. He was taken out by a spinning car. There was nothing he could have done.
- Leilani Munter
39th place.(74 laps down) Caught up in the first wreck. Might have avoided it, but zigged when she should have zagged.
- Milka Duno
43rd place.(74 laps down) Should have been able to avoid the wreck. Either her spotter gave her bad advice or she just plain
wasn't paying attention because all the other cars had stopped spinning when she came upon the wreck going way too fast.
SUMMARY: An exciting race despite much time spent single file. The next ARCA race is its debut at the Palm Beach road
course in three weeks. Unfortunately there's no TV coverage for that. Then nothing until April 11th on the half-mile track in
Salem Indiana. Again, no TV. The next week TV coverage returns for the race at Texas Motor Speedway.
