Went on a trip this last weekend. Had a bunch of trouble with the engine. It runs OK on the highway, but when it heats up it stalls at lights. My theory is that the choke is sticking. I looked up how to test and fix the choke only the cost of the tools to do this would be more than paying a professional to fix it for me.
Update on the novel. It continues to go well, but slowly. I think I'm about half done, but I thought that a couple weeks ago. When I started this I was worried about filling a whole novel, but as I go more and more stuff reveals itself. My previous attempts at a novel collapsed under the weight of flimsy stoylines and weak characters. With this one the story and the characters get stromger as I go. They also get more demanding. Even when I'm not actually writing I think about it all the time.
Got a lot of work done this weekend. It's amazing how good a little physical labor can feel. Of course if I had a physical job I imagine that working around the house wouldn't feel so good. That's one of the reasons my novel progresses so slowly. I have a mentally taxing job, so when I get home I find it hard to sit down and write.
